Most all in the fashion world aspire to be either and/or both individual as much as we die and gasp every time we see either and/or both photographed for the blogs we visit daily.

All I know is I would give my left arm for Alt's Balmain jackets, Isabel Marant boots and her effortlessly chic Parisian casual style.

Christine, fashion editor for Harper's Bazaar Australia, seems to be popping up in the blogs more and more these days.

Not only does she own MANY highly coveted footwear finds, such as the Alexander Wang Freja booties, but she has a style that may be hard to describe. Its unique and different and no matter how different it is (sweatpants and heels..), Christine always looks completely put and pulled together.

Christine may have a complete style of her own, but I truly believe its perfection.

Tommy Ton of JAK&JIL has, in my opinion, the most interesting and fascinating photography style of most fashion street bloggers.

I have been a loyal follow of JAK&JIL for a couple of years now and I cant seem to stay away from it. What draws me in is Tommy's "to the ground" footwear and shoe shots he gets from Paris to New York to Milan and back.

Some say that Jane Aldridge and her collection of shoes featured on her blog Sea of Shoes is the best collection around. I would have to disagree on this one. Yes, her style, collections and vintage finds are undoubtedly amazing, but I think Tommy Ton takes the cake on this one..

I had been hearing all this buzz this week about this Christian Louboutin dancing video. I finally had the time to sit down and watch it & I can honestly say, I wish I would've watched it a lot sooner.

Not only do I love Christian's shoes, but this video made me fall in love with the man who is Christian Louboutin. This video creates a fun, playful, dreamer out of Christian and it is one video that I will continue to watch over and over again.

Here are the treasures I came back from Viva Las Vegas with:

Alexander Wang Freja Booties
Purchased from BARNEYS NEW YORK at The Shoppes at The Palazzo. Not only did I find the highly sought after Wang booties, but I found the most gracious, attentive, courteous and knowledgeable shoe salesman - Max Vargas. He was absolutely great. I only hope he can be my shoe salesman for life, but until I move to Vegas, I will have to continue to call him whenever I am seeking a shoe from Barneys NY. An original New Yorker, now transplanted in sunny Las Vegas, Max has the charm of a Brazilian model, but the knowledge of the standard fashion consumed. Not only did he find my booties, but he also found me the Alexander Wang Alla Leopard Wedges. He knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned leopard wedge. Unfortunately, my size was unavailable and the only size left was a 9. The shoe was not even on display, as the 9 was the last pair left and was just chilling in the back. Max also sold my sister the Fendi Straw Platform Pump. Such a great sturdy Fendi pump - if I might say so myself! I have had not very memorable experiences when it comes to department store sales employees, but Max will not be part of those experiences. He was, by far, the best I have experienced in my jaunts to Neimans, Saks, Barneys, etc. If only he lived in the Chicago land area.. he would have my sales for life. CHANEL Silver Mirrored Aviators

*Pardon the photo - it was taken with my phone, seeing as the sunnies are so entirely new from the CHANEL collection that photos are unavailable online!*

These were purchased at Ilori at the new City Center Shops. Not only did they come in THAT DAY, but they were Chanel and exactly what I was looking for when it came to a new pair of sunnies. With the mirror reflection on the lenses and the mirror 'CHANEL' logo on the side, with touches of bright white, these sunnies scream summer as much as they screamed 'MISSY!!!' the moment I walked in the store. The great thing about them, too.. they came with a metallic silver quilted case. Love, love love them.

CARDIGAN NY Stripe Sweater

I spotted this sweater right before I hit the fighting room with a bunch of jeggings at SCOOP NY at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. I thought it was definitely classic and so casual for the spring and summer. Definitely my signature style - classic. After trying on endless jeggings and not finding the perfect one, I threw on this sweater, expecting to be disappointed. Oh I was wrong! Its the epitomy of classic perfection. Already in my head, I pictured black skinny ankle grazing jeans, a crisp white tank, nude pumps and THIS sweater. Unfortunately, it just arrived at SCOOP stores so once again, I am unable to find a picture. So pretend that you can see it in your head - natural color, off white stripes below the bust line, 3/4 length sleeves, thin cashmere - all fitting like an oversize, short tee. Yeah I know, its perfect..

Christian Louboutin Decollete Nude Leather Pumps

*Actual shoe purchased is leather, not patent leather - but color and shape are the same*

So since I created this perfect outfit in my mind with my new CARDIGAN striped sweater, I needed the nude pumps to go along with it since I already had the tank and black ankle grazers. Well - who makes the PERFECT pump? Christian Louboutin, of course. I found the perfect pair at Neiman Marcus at the Fashion Show Mall. Unfortunately my size was not available in store, so with the help of fellow Chicagoan and 20 yr shoe sales veteran of NM, Barbara Branner, my size was located and will be shipped to me! I am anxiously awaiting these beauties as my wardrobe is calling for them. Not only will they complete my CARDGIAN sweater outfit, but they will practically go with EVERYTHING in my closet.

Yes - that's right, I am headed off to VEGAS!

This short vacation is a well-needed break. Just some time to relax, shop, gamble a bit and of course, dance the night away!

Unfortunately, a red eye flight is my ticket home, which puts me back in the 'real world' on Wednesday early, early morning. So hopefully, the posts will be rolling in sometime Wednesday night.

Ok, so now I am officially on vacation. Done with work until Wednesday, I have a glass of wine by my side and just a little more packing to do..

After a move to Dublin, Ireland from Madrid, Spain, Elena Montes Casado was a bit overwhelmed by the enormous amount of umbrellas featured every day in her new city. It seemed to be taking over the men and women on the streets of Dublin.

So to bring shine to the quite dreary climate offered by Ireland, Elena produced an image of a lady with an umbrella for her head, thus producing

With the help of Robert Ryan, together they began to create the LadyUmbrella brand in 2008. After two years spent researching, developing and designing the brand and tee shirts, LadyUmbrella was launched on January 20th this year.

The brand consists of the leading lady in a variety of scenes from a peaceful stroll in the park with the birds to preparing for a triathlon. These, plus several other scenes, are printed on custom made 100% combed cotton tee shirts.

Since launching in the beginning of 2010, these uplifting and very playful tees have been shipped throughout the world to everywhere from England to Spain, Australia, Germany, Italy and South Korea. Freja Beha Erichsen seems to be the model of the moment these days. To make that perfectly clear, she was just featured on Tommy Ton's JAK & JIL blog yesterday.

With her many tattoos, which I happen to LOVE, she brings a certain edge, a certain je ne sais quoi to every show she walks. Having opened the spring Chanel haute couture show, walking a total of 46 Fall 10 RTW shows, opening 8 and closing 10 of those, Freja is definitely a muse to many and sure to be an icon for years to come.

Isabel Marant F/W 10

I have always heard about Isabel Marant and her distinctive Parisian style in every collection of hers. It wasnt until recently that she popped into the mainstream fashion world with her ever so popular studded Otway boots. Once those boots were seen on almost everyone in the industry, Isabel's name became a standard among the industry and she started getting the press she deserves. American Vogue finally featured Isabel in one of their fashion spotlight sections in the March '10 issue.

Here are a few of my favorites looks from Isabel's F/W 10 Collection. It just screams Parisian Casual Chic.

Music Monday - "Quicksand" by La Roux

I first discovered this song last spring and honestly I fell in love with the Gucci Fall 09 runway because of this song. I was watching the Style.com podcasts on my iPod and Gucci Fall 2009 RTW started playing and all of the sudden I heard this up-tempo, electric, amazing runway song in the background. I searched and searched for the song (took me about 2 days) and I finally found it. It was "Quicksand" by La Roux. I have loved La Roux' music since then. I cant get enough. It almost like a drug.

The memories that the song brings back to me from the spring and summer are indescribable.

"The September Issue"

I like to think that I live nowhere near the boonies, but for some reason, all movie theaters around where I reside, decided to boycott "The September Issue", giving it no cinema play time. This led me to wait, patiently of course, until it came out on DVD.

I have to say, after watching it, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did I like the movie, but I loved it. I knew I would enjoy it because its fashion/Vogue/etc., but I was afraid that I would grow, unwillingly - more like forced, a spitefulness for the lovely Ms. Anna Wintour. Thankfully, the opposite occur and it seems my respect level for Ms. Wintour has grown even more. Not only has she been the editor-in-chief at Vogue over a respectable 20 years, but she's a loving mother and a little down to earth, despite the media attacks on this so-called Ice Woman.

I got to know a little more about Grace Coddington, as well, who happens to be a legend in her own right, according to my book of fashion. Her vision is incredible and she has got to be the sweetest lady ever.

So -- gone (almost) are the days of me wishing Carine and Emmanuelle would take over American Vogue and bring us into their vision and style with the help of the entire French Vogue team.

I did stumble upon this editorial, shot by Mario Testino, and printed in Vogue Paris in August 2007. I think the mockery of Ms. Wintour by the one and only Ms. Roitfeld is definitely straight on with the life and style of Anna Wintour. Enjoy.

I feel like it was just yesterday that this world of fashion overtook me and I havent looked back since.

Sure I got the standard tween and teen magazines. You know, the usual, but this was my first REAL Fashion Magazine. I wont bore you with the details, but I just wanted to say thank you to the fashion gods for sucking me in and never letting me go.

As much as I die for the Parisian elegance, power and edginess that both French Vogue team members, Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt, provide for my daily blog viewing pleasure - I can't help but to gasp every time I see a street style photo posted of the one and only Italian, Giovanna Battaglia.

To say she has become my style icon lately is an understatement. I basically want to be her - with a cigarette and all. She epitomizes European chic with such an air of class and wealth, mixed in with the trend of the moment.

Giovanna forever will have my fashion respect and attention.

Easy Fashion in Paris

I came across this blog one day while 'Google-ing' Parisian Street Fashion. I knew I was in love one I saw the first page so I sat one day and went thru this entire blog.

With a sartorial take on street fashion, Fred provides the blog world with something Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist does not and that is the average everyday walk of life. Fred features young 20-somethings to that older chic Parisian woman some girls are dying to be like. Fred always includes what part and rue de Paris he snapped these defining photographs.

My favorite part of Fred's blog is he asks a series of several questions to most people he decides to shoot. My favorite is when he asks the women what perfume they are wearing. I truly believe parfume is the perfect and best accessory for every look.

My other favorite question: "If I had 1 000 €, I would buy..." It makes me happy knowing that I am not the only one dying to buy a pair of Givenchy shoes.

To Start Off Fresh

Fashion.

The noun (if nouns could be used to describe) that describes my life. Its what I live and breath for, no matter what I tell myself. It will always consume my every moment.

Blogging has been something that I have been doing for quite awhile now and I have decided to jump on the 'fashion bloggers' train. All for fun. I read at least 50 blogs daily - jakandjil - my favorite and they are so inspiring. I look forward to laying awake all night and scrolling thru the endless pages of amateur and mature fashion blogs I follow.

Here will be what I believe the world of fashion to be. It wont be such a "blinders" view on the world of fashion, only covering certain trends, streetshots and such. It will be what I truly love in the fashion industry.

Like I have mentioned before, I cant put a name to my style and taste in trends. Why limit myself to classic, bohemian, trendy, etc? Why would one do that to themselves? I don't get it. Be open. Accept it all and embrace it. It's art. It's someone's vision. It's all timeless, no matter how trendy something may seem at the time. Uhm, harem pants, anyone?!

I am open to the ENTIRE world of fashion, no matter what it is and here I will share that with you.
